Almondy Vodka Limonana
Using almond syrup, which you can find at any liquor store and in many supermarkets, gives this minty spiked lemonade (“limonana” is a hybrid of the two Hebrew words for mint and lemon) a major upgrade. If you don’t have almond syrup, use a tiny drop of almond extract instead! You could also omit the alcohol and swap in seltzer.
Ingredients
4 ounces (½ cup) vodka
2½ ounces (5 tablespoons) orgeat (almond syrup) or 3 drops almond extract
3 ounces (6 tablespoons) freshly squeezed lemon juice
4 mint sprigs, plus more for garnish
Thinly sliced lemons, for garnish
Instructions
In an ice-filled cocktail shaker, vigorously shake the vodka, syrup (or extract), lemon juice, and mint sprigs. Strain into two ice-filled rocks glasses and garnish with lemon slices and more mint sprigs.
